Weekend Update: Birthday Edition

Its Monday, and if you're like me you are probably wanting to crawl back in bed and hide out til Friday. Mondays are hard. I am hear to tell you about my wonderful birthday weekend and try to not cry that I am back at work for the next five days.

Friday night:
Nothing exciting over here. I worked on a paper for my class, Organizational Dynamics and Behavior. If you're new around here, I am getting my masters in Human Resources slowly, painfully, one 8 week class at a time.

Saturday was my birthday, so I woke up to Ronnie telling me to go find my birthday surprises, which were hidden around the house. He has a thing for scavenger hunts, he even used a scavenger hunt when he proposed to me (you can read our engagement story here).

My presents from Ronnie included these beautiful boots from Aldo, and the Betsey Johnson weekender bag I've been coveting. Girls, give your husband a birthday list. Trust me. He also gets an A+ for his wrapping job, where he obviously ran out of Birthday Paper so finished the job with some Christmas paper.

That afternoon, I also recieved a card from a dear blog friend I met just a few months ago through Cara Box, Sam. She sent me the sweetest little note with a Starbucks gift card! Starbucks is my love language, and it made my day that Sam was so kind and thoughtful to send me a little something!

Ronnie and I went to lunch with my family, and then I worked on my paper some more on Saturday afternoon. School work stops for no birthdays, sadly. Ollie did come cuddle up and make it somewhat challenging to write, although he provided me with some companionship which I enjoyed.

Saturday night we got dressed up and headed to one of my favorite restaraunts, The Melting Pot and enjoyed delcious wine, dinner and desert. The cheese is my favorite part. Actually, the chocolate. I'm drooling over the thought of that chocolate. It was heavenly.

My first birthday as a married woman was perfect, and I can't wait to celebrate again next year. Just kidding husband, I already can't wait to celebrate your birthday in March. But before then we have Thansgiving, Christmas and Valentines Day! I love the holidays!

Don't forget to enter the Fall Favorites Giveaway! The winner will be announced on Friday.
